Overwatch Will Expand Even Further In 2017 [VIDEO]

New heroes, maps, and modes are all expected to show up in Blizzard‘s new cash-cow game.

Blizzard uploaded a Year in Review video of this team-based FPS, and in it, game director Jeff Kaplan not only recapped the main events of 2016 in Overwatch, but he also teased a few things to arrive in 2017. He also pointed out that they are waiting with the balancing of Sombra on purpose to avoid the events of the previous newcomer, Ana.

The new map, Oasis, will come in early 2017, followed by more experiments. The new events will be partially tied to holidays (like the current one, related to Christmas), and the others will „catch us off-guard” according to Kaplan. He also revealed that they are working on multiple DLC characters, but some of them might not get further than being a prototype. A fan-requested idea, a server browser for Custom Games, will also launch in early 2017.

Seeing the success of Overwatch, no wonder Blizzard focuses more on it!
