Disney Infinity’s Developer Is Revived

Despite Disney Infinity coming to an end, the developers got a second chance.

The publisher has confirmed in a statement that Avalanche Software is going to be a first-party team under Warner Bros., and the previous CEO, John Blackburn, as well as many other members of the team, return to their positions. In return, Warner purchased the rights to the team’s Octane engine.

The team isn’t coming back for no reason after their shutdown in May: they are already working on the game adaptation of Cars 3. This move underlines Disney’s plans to move from a publisher role to just strike deals for license usage. Electronic Arts have the Star Wars license, and Telltale (via Marvel) acquired the Guardians of the Galaxy IP to work on new games.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
