Project Scorpio: Microsoft Has Gone Defensive

Microsoft took a defensive stance regarding the upcoming stronger Xbox One model, the Project Scorpio.

Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, started to talk about the new hardware shortly after Eurogamer has revealed details about the Project Scorpio. He has also answered a few questions – one of them was about native 4K resolution. Spencer has confirmed that a few games will still run on 4K, although his response was a simple yes.

Spencer also added that his focus is currently on getting games ready to be shown and released (and yet, Scalebound still got canceled), and there was also a bit of Redmond optimism as well, as he is „confident in the results.”

Spencer’s Twitter replies don’t seem any more than a defensive stance right now. Perhaps the Project Scorpio, slated for launch in this holiday season, can make us eat that humble pie with its performance.
