PlayStation Expands Its University Presence

Another university joined PlayStation.

The new addition is Australian Torrens University’s Media Design School, and Sony didn’t team up with them for no reason. The Media Design School receives PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita development kits, as well as the „skills to code” future games.

While you might initially think that Sony’s move makes no sense, think twice: students can begin work on their first game under PlayStation First Academic Development Programme on PlayStation platforms, and they could end up being hired by the Japanese company. Sony can pick up new talents straight out of school, making their move a long-term investment with the students getting a chance to showcase their work as well.

You can enroll here to the course that starts on June 5 in Sydney and Brisbane.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
