Street Fighter V: Winning With A Major „Handicap”? It’s Possible [VIDEO]

Someone managed to win with the odds against him.

In a fighting game, knowing the pros and the cons of the characters, as well as the strategies against other characters,  is essential to victory. Also, seeing what happens in the game is also necessary. Well, a Dutch guy by the name of Sven couldn’t see anything, but despite being blind, he has managed to enter the Spanish Sonic Boom championship and win! Musashi’s Akuma was pounded by Sven’s Ken without much trouble – Sven won in a best-to-three setting by timing his moves by the audio only.

In the interview after the match, Sven admitted that he lost his vision at the age of five due to cancer, and back then, he was afraid that he wouldn’t be able to play games anymore. Thankfully, Capcom has launched Street Fighter II on the SNES, which he managed to learn by only hearing the game. He thinks Street Fighter V‘s audio design is top notch, which also contributed to his skills.

You can win from impossible scenarios too, it seems.
