The miniature cars are making a return in style…
Codemasters (the publishers, as well as the developers of the PC port), and Just Add Water (developers of the console versions, they were behind Oddworld: New ‘N’ Tasty as well) showed a bit of gameplay of the new Micro Machines game, which is aimed to revive the practically dead franchise on modern platforms (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC).
The game will have fifteen battle arenas, where twelve players can compete for victory with „crazy” weapons (we quoted the press release there). Going by the images and the video, Codemasters wanted to go for a classic vibe with the game, which could be in its favor.
„The UK release is narrated by the one and only Brian Blessed. In his own, recognizable and unique style Brian bursts forth announcing the start of races as well as “Enemy Flag Taken” and “Micro Machines is Alive!”,” the press release says.
The game, which will also bring twelve new cars, is going to be out in stores on June 23.
