SNES Mini: Nintendo's Next Cashgrab Move?

After the little NES, the mini SNES could be hitting the stores.

The Nintendo Classic Mini: Nintendo Entertainment System (or Famicom in Japan) was an interesting piece of hardware with a HDMI port, thirty built-in games, and such a high demand that scalpers resell the console on eBay for several times of its price, which shows how Nintendo didn’t manufacture enough consoles (past tense: it’s discontinued already!).

Eurogamer claims based on its sources that the successor could be arriving in the 2017 Holiday season – the SNES Mini could be the main reason why the small NES was taken off the table so early.

How many games will the small Super Nintendo (which will likely not have a cassette slot) have? That console got a lot of great games, and you can fill up about half (!) of a thirty-game list with just the first-party developments…
