ELEX: Let's Look At The Prologue [VIDEO]

We haven’t heard a lot regarding Piranha Bytes‘ upcoming game…

…but THQ Nordic knew about it, so it’s not surprising to see the sci-fi/fantasy RPG‘s prolog getting revealed. „The prolog leads up to the point where players will be thrown into this world, now controlled by a substance called Elex. „Magalan… home to a civilization of millions. After the comet had hit, earthquakes shattered its cities and firestorms swept the planet. As Magalan fell into darkness, the survivors faced a world that was unrecognizable”,” the press release says.

This game won’t be limiting your arsenal, so you can pick up things like a plasma rifle, a shotgun, or even a flame thrower, to find your gameplay style. That sounds good on paper, but we have to see the game for ourselves to judge, though.

The release date is a bit far, however: ELEX is out in Q3 (July-September) on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Seeing the developers’ previous games (Gothic, Risen series), it’s going to be interesting to see what they pulled out of the hat.
