Starcraft Source Code Lost And Found: The Full Story

Finding an unexpected item in a random eBay order can turn out to be something hard on your conscience.

Kotaku reports that a Reddit user by the name of Khemist49 has bought a „box of Blizzard stuff” on eBay, which turned out to include a disc of Starcraft’s source code. He wrote about it on Reddit, and because of his conscience, he decided to return the disc to Blizzard, whose legal team has contacted him. His reward was a copy of Overwatch and 250 dollars worth of Blizzard store credit.

The story doesn’t end here – he got a call from a Blizzard employee when he was asked about Blizzcon. Khemist said that he is unable to go there due to the trip being too expensive. He was told that Blizzard would cover all his expenses, and he’d be able to go out with a few employees for a few drinks, and he also received a box of Overwatch and Diablo stuff.

Fair play from both parties.
