Anthem: Mass Effect's Effect Will Be Present

Yes, BioWare’s new game will have some shape of relationship towards Mass Effect.

Drew Karpyshyn. Baldur’s Gate 2, Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire, Star Wars: The Old Republic… and Mass Effect. He spent roughly a dozen years at BioWare, to which he returned in 2015. Now, we can explain why he came back to the team: the lead writer of the first two Mass Effect games confirmed on Twitter that he is working on Anthem.

Karpyshyn is fully silent about his involvement in Anthem, but his presence will make the game more than just flying armored people trying to save humanity (aka Destiny?). Putting a bit of storytelling into the action-adventure game will not hurt Anthem.

Anthem will launch in Fall 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
