PayPal + PlayStation Network = Thousands Of Banned Accounts!

Multiple PlayStation Network accounts got banned.

The UK PlayStation Twitter account is now under „attack” by users whose PSN accounts got banned. It happened due to PayPal. Kotaku was contacted by an internal source, which says that multiple PayPal chargebacks happened in the middle of June, making those accounts go into a negative balance, which was followed up by Sony’s banhammer striking down.

„I saw a Paypal statement from someone [which] said, „This error is on Sony’s end and is to do with them closing or somehow limiting their GDP account, meaning that the funds didn’t credit the accounts.” That doesn’t seem to fly because why would it take at least two weeks for those payments to clear? Oh well, it’s a massive mess anyway,” the source claims on Kotaku.

The American PlayStation Twitter channel is also in a similar situation…
