A Free Weekend for Doom, But There’s a Catch!

PlayStation announced on Twitter that PS4 owners can pick up and play 2016’s id Software FPS, DOOM, for free, until July 30. The game’s recent 6.66 update made all DLCs free after being folded into the game. (PlayStation Store also mentions the DLCs are also part of the freebie deal.)

In case you end up liking the game, you can buy it quite cheap until the middle of August – it’s just fifteen dollars/euros, and for the id Tech 6-using DOOM, it’s a reasonable price.

And what’s the catch? Well this free weekend is only for the PS Plus owners. Indeed, after Sony announcing the European price hike (which effectively makes this continent’s people pay more than the Americans…), that’s a deal to loose up a bit those angry PS Plus owners…
