Blizzard: Incubation Of New IPs, No Need To Rush

Don’t expect a new IP every year from the makers of Warcraft, Diablo, and Overwatch.

GameSpot reports that Activision Blizzard‘s latest financial earnings call had Blizzard‘s co-founder and president, Mike Morhaime talk. He said that currently the team is focused on supporting its existing franchises, but he also added that Allen Adham, another co-founder, has returned to supervise the incubation teams for new projects. Regarding their new IPs, their pipeline is in the best standing in their history.

They are planning new IPs, but they will not rush them. Remember, their newest IP that hit the shelves was announced 17 (!!!) years after their previous new one arrived (it’s Overwatch). They have no reason to hurry, but they shouldn’t screw up like how they did with Titan…
