No, the link between the artist and the program isn’t Pirates of the Caribbean!

Deadline reports that Johnny Depp is going to be the producer of the TV show based on The Secret World. Depp’s company, Infinitum Nihil will collaborate with Gudrun Giddings in the production. Giddings already optioned the license in 2012. Hook’s writer James V. Hart, as well as CSI: NY’s showrunner, Pam Veasey, will also be involved in the creation of this TV show.

Veasey thinks that The Secret World, which is likely going to involve agents, supernatural elements, and fights all around the world, is an ideal gaming experience to be made into a live action episodic adventure.
