If you have a data-capped internet connection, you might be running into limitations just because of downloading this game.
We read on DualShockers that the new Lord of the Rings game isn’t going to be a small title. One of the editors of IGN, Dan Stapleton wrote on Twitter that the PlayStation 4 Pro version’s download size is 69.93 gigabytes. That amount is more than what a dual layer Blu-ray can contain… and we still have the PC version to mention!
Stapleton also revealed that the PC download size is even bigger than the PlayStation 4 Pro‘s… it’s 97.7 gigabytes. Almost 100 gigabytes! Even if you have Google Fiber, you’d still have to wait a bit to have the game downloaded. If you are shot with some slow connection, you might still have to download bits of the game after buying the game on disc.
Monolith’s game, which seems to have hidden the true ending behind several hours of grinding (or loot boxes, which means you’d have to spend money on top of buying the game), will launch on October 10 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game will support both stronger consoles as well.
