The Witcher: New Information About The Netflix Series

MOVIE NEWS – Lauren Schmidt Hissrich revealed more details about The Witcher‘s Netflix-adaptation on Twitter.

She admitted that she considers CD Projekt RED‘s game adaptations of The Witcher (which, remember, originates from Andrzej Sapkowski’s novels!) breathtaking, and that there will be no connection between the series and the games – Hissrich says they are fans of each other’s work, but that is all.

She added that the first season of The Witcher will consist of eight episodes and it could launch in 2020, although the casting hasn’t started yet. It would be shot in Poland (local grounds then), and there could be more seasons, depending on the series’ success.

Let’s hope that the series will be as good as the games were!
