God Of War Had Several Cut Bosses!

Sony Interactive Entertainment Santa Monica’s game had a lot more during development than what we got.

Cory Barlog, the game’s director, was interviewed by GamingBolt, where he talked about this subject, too: „There are several bosses that I had to cut throughout the game simply because we got about 15 to 20 people on each boss, and those bosses go anywhere from a year to two each. Which I think is something a lot of people underestimate, ‘ There are not enough bosses in this game!’ You’re greedy because while I’d love like ten more bosses in there, this game would have taken like 20 years to make.” However, the lack of time and workforce weren’t the only reason behind cutting the content: Barlog wanted a streamlined story with a focus on the character(s).

There are still references to some of them in the game, though: „There are theories out there where people are looking at characters and going, ‘Who is this character? Why do they have a giant bird statue in Helheim?’ And wondering why we spent time and effort on that thing. Maybe that’s because it was a giant boss at one point,” he added.

So… how much will be included in a sequel? Remember; Barlog previously said he planned multiple sequels!

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
