S.O.N: We Have Reasons To Critique But Not Fear [VIDEO]

S.O.N got its second trailer, and RedG Studios‘ game starts to paint a somewhat disappointing picture of itself.

Let’s ignore the fact that we have a first-person survival horror game – seeing the HUD, it seems we’ll be holding a video camera at all times with an unfitting font slammed onto our screens, and it possibly means there will be no HP bar. One mistake will likely cause our death, resulting in restarting somewhere, as the video doesn’t give us a clue about that.

The style resembles Resident Evil 7, but we’re still on the bench if this game, which is set in Pennsylvania, 1996, capable of showing more than the indie games on Steam that you can find aplenty? Especially how the end of the trailer (which abuses the VHS filter, no less) has a line that says „not all images appear in-game.”

Perhaps the developers can make us eat the humble pie at the end of the year – S.O.N arrives on December 11 as a PlayStation 4-exclusive.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
