Is Resident Evil 3 Getting A Remake, Too?

The third Resident Evil game didn’t get an updated version yet, but it might happen.

On ResetEra, DuskGolem, who previously leaked Resident Evil-related information correctly (such as the Not A Hero DLC for Resident Evil 7), now says that Resident Evil 3‘s remake „is in full development right now.” This game is the only one from the main series that did not get ported over to the MT Framework or the RE Engine (the latter one is being used by Resident Evil 2’s remake, which is out at the end of January). There were no more details said.

Still, we shouldn’t ignore this thought – previously, Capcom has confirmed that their strategy includes remastering, re-releasing previous games from their library. 1999’s Resident Evil 3 is a missing link.

It’s unlikely to see Capcom release a possible Resident Evil 3 remake in 2019, but we have seen a lot of things that could make us eat that humble pie.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
