Will Nioh 2’s Release Date Be Announced Soon?

One of the major games of Koei Tecmo was Nioh in the past few years – its sequel is in development, but we don’t know much about it yet.

Nioh, which came out in early 2017 on PlayStation 4 (and towards the end of the year on PC as well), got its sequel announced at E3 this year. Since then, the information has stopped coming until now. Fumihiko Yasuda, one of the directors of the first Nioh (having a similar role in the sequel as well), has told Japanese magazine 4Gamer.net that there is an announcement happening in early 2019. They might say to us the release date/window or the target platforms of Nioh 2.

Koei Tecmo has other projects in the works, too – they are likely going to announce the new Dynasty Warriors and Atelier titles next year. If we add that Kenichi Ogasawara, the boss of Dynasty Warriors-dev Omega Force, expects hardware announcements in 2019-2020, 2019 might be exciting.

Nioh 2 is in development for PlayStation 4.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
