Warner’s DC Superhero Game Is Getting Revealed Shortly! Justice League?

An internal marketing email has leaked on 4chan, which was then also reposted on ResetEra.

With Warner, we have heard many times what the developers could work on when it comes to DC Comics’ licenses. After 2015’s Batman: Arkham Knight, we have heard that WB Montreal, the developers of Arkham Origins, is working on two titles, with one of them possibly being Batman-related. Rocksteady is rumoured to work on a project related to Superman. Now, we can add something else to the mix.

According to the email (which we shouldn’t ignore – previously, Mortal Kombat 11 also got a similar email leaked, and that also had similar formatting!), the game is planned to be announced on June 4, and it would launch in early 2020. There are already plans for a Premium Edition with „a few iconic superhero costumes and a bit of in-game currency,” which might already alarm the bells for some readers. In the superhero game – we don’t know the title yet! -, we would see Gotham City and Star City, the residence of Batman and the Green Arrow, respectively. There would also be online multiplayer, city hubs, loot, and even raids.

Who thought of Destiny while reading that list? Probably everyone. So it’s going to be a live service game, but with the superheroes of the DC Universe. Previously, we recall writing about something related to a superhero-team multiplayer-focused game…

So it seems that after Bethesda (Fallout 76) and Electronic Arts (Anthem), Warner might follow what – until recently! – Activision Blizzard tried to do with Destiny, which remained with Bungie after their split, meaning it’s currently independent. In June, the reveal is planned to come, if we can believe the email. We’ll see. In early 2020, the game is possibly going to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and probably PC as well.

It might be a Justice League game. We’ll see.
