Another Character Got Restored In Bloodborne! [VIDEO]

Another (partially) cut character got put back into the 2015 PlayStation 4-exclusive – despite FromSoftware‘s game being more than over four years old, the fans slowly build it up to what it could have been.

Lance McDonald‘s work was successful once again: the Souls games’ data miner basically breathes FromSoftware. He published another video from Bloodborne: this time, he managed to restore content related to the Vileblood Queen – her storyline would have been much more important, but for some unexplained reason (why would it be cut from the final?), it wasn’t part of the retail version of Bloodborne.

You can find Annalise, the Vileblood Queen NPC, in Castle Cainhurst. She is the last remaining descendant of the Vilebloods, which was a regal vampiric family with a tainted bloodline ancestry. She has a regal tone, demanding players to kneel in front of her – if you don’t, you get some harsh words. If you do, you could swear an oath to her, and join the Cainhurst Vilebloods. Unused dialogue options and a different voice actress (Evetta Murasasilova instead of Jenny Funnell) have been found in the Alpha version of Bloodborne. You can see the result at 1:58 in the video below. McDonald thinks the voice actor has been changed because there is a possible relationship between the bloodline, the origin of the Dolls, Cainhurst, and the Vileblood Queen.

We have recently talked about a similar restoration: back then, Lance McDonald has restored a helping NPC, namely Father Gascoigne, with outstanding results. Meanwhile, we can still hardly believe how much has been cut from FromSoftware‘s game and the fact that its Alpha still has surprises in store for us. It’s a 2015 game, and fans continue to find extras, which means the concept might have been changed significantly from the alpha version to the retail one…
