Roller Champions: Did Ubisoft’s One Major Announcement Leak? [VIDEO]

Although Watch Dogs 3 has a 95% chance of it being announced at E3 during Ubisoft’s program (as we discussed multiple times before), there’s another game that leaked…

Roller Champions might be one of the games that Ubisoft might launch in the first quarter of 2020 (as they have mentioned in their financial report, which we talked about). It would be a sports game with roller skating (or roller blades, to be exact), but going by the Xbox One controller button mapping, as well as the artwork image, a ball might also be playing a role in the gameplay. Effectively, the idea seems to be a reimagined, multiplayer-focused version of Roller Derby, where two teams with five players each are skating around counter-clockwise on a circuit.

According to the French company’s plans, the game, using its Unity engine, would first launch on PC, but Roller Champions (which might be called Roller Superstars later…) could also show up on other platforms – the Nintendo Switch would be a good fit for the game, which recently ended its first private alpha, but the second one is about to happen, too. According to the leaks, Ubisoft is going to have an E3 demo for Roller Champions, which seems to be more of an American-focused title – we don’t think it would be that highly successful in Europe.

A short video has also leaked – it’s more of an overview, as it shows no gameplay. Ubisoft didn’t put much effort into its audio, as there are only two ambient background sounds changing each other. You’ll hear the same bird sounds every, single, time.

So, an announcement at E3.
