League Of Legends’ Devs Are Working On A New Game!

Riot Games is already known for League of Legends.

Riot Games – along with Radiant Entertainment – is not working on a MOBA. Radiant Games was previously developing a fighting game called Rising Thunder, but it was cancelled, and since then, the team was acquired by Riot Games. Now, Tom Cannon, the president and CEO of Radiant Entertainment, announced during the Jump Off live stream at EVO 2019 that they began working on a new fighting game.

„Back in 2016, when we joined forces with Riot, I said that we were going to go in the hole for a while, and I want to be able to let people in on maybe like the worst kept secret in the universe. Which is, I can confirm that we are working on a fighting game for Riot. The reason why we did Rising Thunder in the first place was that we felt like fighting games just deserved to be enjoyed by way more people. As big as things are, we think it has the potential to get bigger,” Cannon said.

„We have experienced the profound impact this genre can have on players and want to bring the fighting game experience to more people. We’re working hard to create a game truly worthy of the vibrant fighting game community and are making progress, but still have a long way to go before we’re ready to share more details,” a Riot Games representative told IGN in a statement, confirming Cannon’s thoughts in the process.

So Rising Thunder might be revived – this free-to-play fighting game with Unreal Engine 4 and simplified controls entered alpha in 2015 and was under development until March 2016, when Radiant was acquired by Riot Games. It’s possibly going to be another free-to-play title.
