Final Release Date Of The Last Of Us Part II Leaked?

We have talked about Naughty Dog‘s next game, The Last of Us Part II countless times, especially its rumoured and alleged release dates and windows.

Now, we can hopefully stop the guessing game before the State of Play that will be held on September 24 (which we mentioned a few days ago already), when a media event will also be held with roughly three hours of playtime of the game. Now, since State of Play is so close, we should believe what Softridge, a Swiss retailer, is displaying.

There was previously a rumour about how The Last of Us Part II might launch in February on PlayStation 4 (as well as the next-gen PlayStation, which could be called the PlayStation 5, will also have its reveal event in that month, with this game used to show the console’s skills). Softridge claims the game is out on February 28, which is a Friday, so it looks plausible. (Even though they’ve been listing this for months.)

„Five years later… a nerve-wracking, shattering and emotional adventure awaits the player – Ellie and Joel return in the sequel to the acclaimed game of Naughty Dog and are once again on an epic journey. An intense story driven by strong characters, perfectly orchestrated by the hit studio Naughty Dog. [An ]outstanding setting. Unforgettable encounters with enemies through the world-class AI system. [An] unpredictable single-player Story Mode, Hollywood blockbuster style. The latest motion [technology] captures the emotions even more realistically,” the site writes about the game, we somewhat updated the machine translation, though. There are also – not final! – images of the standard, the Special, and the Collector’s Edition, too.

So all we should do is wait until September 24, when we might even get an announcement of a multiplayer beta happening later this year.
