George Miller, Mad Max director has had some good thoughts about Hideo Kojima‘s next game, which is less than two weeks away from its launch.
„So pleased to receive the comment for Death Stranding from my GOD like figure, the filmmaker, George Miller!”, Kojima said in the tweet below, which also features a video with Miller’s commentary. We’ll embed it.

George Miller made Mad Max: Fury Road recently, and Kojima appreciates his work (Kojima likes movies in general, to be fair). „The skill that I see in great filmmakers, I now see in Kojima-san’s work…all of the visual languages, the syntax, the compelling imagery, it’s all there. It’s stunning!”, Miller says in the video. We wouldn’t be surprised that if in the future (on a possible Google Stadia port, or even a sequel…), George Miller would show up. In the first game, we’ll already see Geoff Keighley and Conan O’Brien, just to name a few stars.
There could have been more than that, though! Cory Barlog, the director of the 2018 God of War, wrote this on Twitter: „Oh my god…who isn’t in this game? Oh, that’s right. Me.” Cliff Bleszinski, who you may know as CliffyB from previous Gears of War games, is nowadays focusing on the Broadway instead of games (he has an idea for a smaller project, though), replied with the following: „He asked me to come get scanned [at Kojima Productions] when I was in Japan but it was as Boss Key Productions was nearly over and I was starting my “lay low” phase and opted out. Kinda regret it.”
Death Stranding is going to launch on November 8 on PlayStation 4. However, since its box doesn’t have the Only on PlayStation text, we still don’t rule out a possible PC (or even Google Stadia) port at a later date.
