Here comes the big returner Shin Megami Tensei 5, with an expected release (given in just a year of course) and a really special gift.
We will be able to play an HD remastering of SMT 3 Nocturne in Spring 2021!
The final surprise that was reserved for today’s Nintendo Direct Mini is none other than a new trailer for the promising Shin Megami Tensei 5, a practically obligatory visit for JRPG fans. And the best thing is that in addition to that a launch window for 2021 has also been offered. With a couple of nuances.
It does not have an exact date within the next year, but at first glance we could deduce that it will not arrive until the second semester. Why? Very simple: because in spring we will be able to play another title of the recently re-announced Atlus franchise, the legendary Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne in an HD Remaster; which as its name suggests, will bring back the 2003 classic with reimagined graphics.
SMT 5 will launch simultaneously worldwide
You can see the videos of both games, with some details about their stories, in this same news. Respectively, from SMT 3 we know that we can live the adventure of the semi – dark (half human, half demon) that fights demons with voices in English or Japanese and with possible subtitles.
From SMT 5 we are told that the god who rules the world has died, and that in the chaos that this void has left we have the opportunity to choose our own path. Without further details on the plot, we can expect a simultaneous release worldwide next year, which will undoubtedly be appreciated from the West, where it is customary to wait for adaptations of this kind of productions.
So the SMT 5 will arrive on Nintendo Switch sometime in 2021, and the famous grandfather, SMT 3, will come to the same little machine sometime in the spring of 2021.
