Bayonetta 3 is on the right track, Platinum talks about its work methodology during the pandemic

No news of one of the most desired Nintendo Switch exclusive: Bayonetta 3, but no need to be alarmed.

It is a truism to insist: no one was prepared for what was coming in 2020, not even the video game studios, which have had to reinvent themselves to continue working on their productions. This is the case of Platinum Games, which has recently spoken about its modus operandi amid a pandemic and has specified a new detail about one of its most anticipated games: the development of Bayonetta 3, despite the prevailing silence, is going well.

Hideki Kamiya himself explained it in a recent interview shared with one of the Platinum Games leaders, the no less famous Atsushi Inaba, on GameXplain. Kamiya simply stated that the development of Bayonetta 3 “is going well. ” On Platinum’s methodologies in the current situation, Inaba explained that “we are working from home, we are trying to do what we can to get to work with this new format. It is still early days, but I think that how well we adapt will show how we can cope with this situation and others that arise. ”

Kamiya has recently spoken of a hypothetical sequel to The Wonderful 101, but his media appearances in recent months have been limited to talking about the state of Bayonetta 3. Fans worry, but the ” Bayonetta 3 goes well ” message has been recurring since its mere introduction in December 2017. Will we get to see the game before receiving a reassuring new message from Platinum or Kamiya?

Born as a cross-platform brand, the Bayonetta saga found a niche in the Wii U library in 2014 with Bayonetta 2, which was later re-released alongside the original Switch game in Bayonetta 1 + 2. The release of Bayonetta 3 remains undated, so communication from Platinum or Nintendo is expected to know when we can play it on our hybrid consoles. We need to be patient.
