Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War – Here’s The First News [VIDEO]

The FPS series will reveal its secrets on August 26 – when the official presentation of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War comes.

Here’s the first artwork and teaser from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and so we’re excited. Activision, Treyarch, and Raven Software continue to excite people, this time openly venting a topic that will interest many, including those left cold by the FPS shooter genre itself. The Cold War was one of the most interesting (and frightening) periods in human history when the Doomsday Clock was approaching midnight, our destruction, and the actions of agents kept the end of the world away from us in the shadow of mushroom clouds with constant nuclear tests. The game promises to evoke this atmosphere, its official premiere is expected on August 26th.

The game’s official account has posted a short video and a new artwork that could even be the cover of the game. We don’t know anything else about it at the moment. We don’t even have a release date yet, but now we’d risk betting on November, not only because the PS5 and Xbox Series X are expected at that time, but also because this series is usually coming out during that period of the year. The game comes on PS4, Xbox One and PC too, so not just on next-gen consoles.

The artwork itself paints a very strong, courageous, already impressive view of the era in which the game will take place, with the addition of the reflective rockets in the glasses… Perfect teaser. The game promises to return to the roots of the series, leaving the futuristic environment to focus on the historical events and atmosphere of bygone eras.

The publisher also published a video starring Yuri Bezmenov, who was a journalist and KGB informant by the way, until he was disgusted with the KGB’s methods of overthrowing governments and therefore defected to the West. His warning is as follows:

A Soviet agent codenamed “Perseus” infiltrated the top American circles, tasked with distorting the facts and subverting the values of the existing system until the people voluntarily accepted the Soviets’ victory in the arms race. To this day, it is not known who this Perseus is and whether it will continue to operate, and if so, from where.

Bezmenov also describes the methodology of the KGB: for the first time, gentle brainwashing takes place for 10-15 years, so that people slowly but surely question their values and lose their ability to act, their self-esteem, their principles: this is demoralization. Then comes destabilization, disintegration: destroying the economy, relations with foreign countries, national defense. This is followed by the crisis being triggered by aggressive and rapid social and economic changes. Finally, the final process, ironically mocked as ’normalization’, it is when the puppet government, secretly headed by the KGB, begins to shape the country’s image at the whim of the KGB with false promises.

Learn the history or make the same mistakes! – The message of the video concludes.

The teaser trailer warns us, that our current world is not that different from the world of the Cold War, so beware. This teaser is really chilling, this game seems to be made by thinking people.

Attention, as Mr Bezmenov warned us: the clock is ticking, disaster – and the game – is inevitably approaching.

We don’t know much about COD 2020 yet, but we’re really looking forward to it now. The video and image are a great taste of what to expect.
