Crash Bandicoot Receives Japanese Live-Action Video [VIDEO]

Over there, it’s trendy, so it’s not surprising to see Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time to get a video as such, featuring the box-breaking marsupial…

With this video, Activision Blizzard has confirmed that Japan will now have two Crash Bandicoot 4 games. We’re not joking. The first one was Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex that had the number on its title on PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube (and even Super Mario World on the Super Famicom was called Super Mario Bros. 4). Until now, we had our doubts what the name will be, but now it’s been confirmed,

The video is called „Crash Bannjikyuusu” (the latter word is Japanese for „end of the line” or „it’s all over”), and it is a callback to the Japanese theme song for the original Crash Bandicoot. That theme was meant to be for a commercial, but it was so catchy that it became the title screen song for the series starting with Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. And if you think Crash looks weird, don’t worry about it: his looks have been modified in the past to fit the Japanese audience, and the theme is continued in this video.

On September 16, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will receive a demo that you can play if you pre-order the game. It will include two levels from the full game, and there will be two playable characters (Crash Bandicoot and Dr Neo Cortex). It will also let users experience some of the new Quantum Masks: „Kupuna-Wa” allows you to control time and „Lani-Loi” phase objects in and out of existence.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time launches on October 2 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Nintendo Switch and the PC version is likely not happening until Autumn 21, knowing Activision Blizzard’s practices.
