The First Saints Row V Details Leaked?

After Agents of Mayhem, Volition seems to go back to Saints Row (even though AoM is also set in that universe…).

The ResetEra forums have compiled the details that showed up on the 4Chan site from an anonymous leaker. The person said Saints Row V‘s story continues the events of Saints Row: The Third. Saints Row IV’s and Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell‘s events will also be referenced, but those will be relegated to a television show within the universe.

Our character will be a new Saint, and the main enemies will be the older Saints who formed an evil empire on their accord. There will be other antagonists as well, such as a motorcycle gang called Wolf Pack. However, you can team up with them to defeat the old Saints. The game is reportedly set in a modern, expanded version of Stilwater. Don’t expect superpowers either. The tone of Saints Row V will be a combination of the first three titles’, meaning you won’t see as much of joking around.

The character customization will be similar to what Saints Row 2 had. Each body part can be customized, plus you can wear clothes in multiple ways. (Wanna bet Volition will allow us to wear the underwear outside a la Superman?) The weapon customization will also be expanded, the leaker claims.

The person added that Saints Row V is currently in an early playable state. Volition invited some YouTubers and Saints Row fans to play the game, but it doesn’t mean it will launch soon. It’s allegedly set to come in late 2021 or early 2022, and Koch Media, the owners of Volition (THQ Nordic AB > Koch Media > Deep Silver > Volition is the proper order but whatever…), has hinted at it.

That means Saints Row V is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
