Neil Druckmann visits Uncharted set with Tom Holland, “it looks amazing”

MOVIE NEWS – The creative director of Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us 2 had a few words with the leading actor of the film.

After many comings and goings of directors, and the delays caused by the global pandemic, the film adaptation of Uncharted has finally entered the production phase, something that one of the best-known figures of Naughty Dog has been able to see first-hand in the development of the saga, Neil Druckmann , who did not hesitate to praise the work of those responsible for the film after a visit to the filming set .

Specifically, it was Tom Holland, the actor in charge of giving life to Nathan Drake in the film, who announced on social networks that the screenwriter and video game designer had attended the recordings of the film. “Great talk with Neil Druckmann. I am a great follower of your work and I hope you liked everything we are doing with Uncharted: The Movie”, commented the MCU’s Spider-Man on Twitter, finding a response from the director of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and The Last of Us: Part II .

“Yes, friend. I loved talking about videogames with you and your brother. Also, the set looks amazing. Good luck with the rest of the shoot,” replied Neil Druckmann who did not want to comment on the production for obvious reasons to save the secret.

It is not the only recording set that the creative director of Naughty Dog will have to visit in the near future, and it is expected that there will soon be new news about the adaptation of The Last of Us saga that Sony, PlayStation Productions and HBO are preparing. with the creator of the Chernobyl series as the main responsible.

The Uncharted movie will hit the big screen on July 16, 2021, telling an original story with a young Nathan Drake in its footage. Tom Holland will be joined in the cast by Mark Wahlberg (Victor Sullivan), Antonio Banderas and Sophia Ali. Ruben Fleischer (Venom, Zombieland: Kill and finish, etc), directs the film.

In video games, the last installment of the franchise was Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End , a farewell at the height of what a character as iconic as Nathan Drake.
