PlayStation 5: A Teaser Of Some Upcoming Games With A Few Surprise Exclusivity Deals [VIDEO]

Sony Interactive Entertainment published a new trailer that shows which games we should prepare for – meanwhile, they also sneakily hint at a few of their respective release windows.

We’ll list what games are seen in the trailer called New and Upcoming Games. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a PlayStation-exclusive, and it’s also available on PlayStation 4. Horizon Forbidden West is in the same shoes (PlayStation-exclusive; will be available on PlayStation 4, too), and it will arrive in 2021. Gran Turismo 7 will be a PlayStation 5-exclusive, coming in 2021. That means it might not arrive in early 2021 as some rumours have said.

Deathloop will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC. It will be a timed console exclusive for a year (despite Microsoft buying Bethesda’s parent company, Zenimax), and it will launch on May 21. Project Athia (which is a working title) will also be on PC, and here’s a surprising move: Sony paid Square Enix for two years of console exclusivity!

Demon’s Souls is already available as a PlayStation 5-exclusive. (Or you can get the original, which is exclusive to the PS3.) Ghostwire: Tokyo is another console exclusive, but for twelve months. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will be a PlayStation 5-exclusive with a 2021 release window. Godfall is a PlayStation 5 console exclusive, as it’s also available on PC. Gearbox will not publish this game on other consoles until at least May 12, meaning it has six months of console exclusivity.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure is another cross-gen PlayStation-exclusive (available on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4). Destruction AllStars is a PlayStation 5-exclusive with a 2021 release window. Then, we see NBA 2K21, which is not just a cross-gen title, but also a multiplatform one. It’s followed by Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, which is in the same scenario as the basketball game (cross-gen, multiplatform game). Finally, we see Resident Evil: Village, which will launch next year. (We suspect it to be a cross-gen title with a Spring 2021 release window.)

So some of the games on the list are somewhat questionable.
