GreedFall: Gold Edition: A Next-Gen Version And A New DLC

Thankfully, Spiders’ game can be upgraded for free to the next console generation.

Spiders, along with Focus Home Interactive, announced that GreedFall: Gold Edition will launch on June 30 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. It will also include a DLC called The De Vespe Conspiracy, which also arrives on the same day. It can be bought separately as well for 7 USD/EUR. The PlayStation 4 > PlayStation 5, as well as the Xbox One > Xbox Series upgrade, will be free, plus you can bring over your previous save file.

Here is an overview of the game, via the publisher: „GreedFall, the beloved fantasy RPG experience from Spiders Studio and Focus Home Interactive, and its new Gold Edition arrive on June 30 with enhanced visuals up to UHD native 4K, fast loading, and improved performance on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series! The Gold Edition includes the base game and new expansion: “The De Vespe Conspiracy.” This expansion brings a brand new adventure to players on consoles and PC within the uncharted lands of Teer Fradee, with new enemies, gear, and a twisting narrative that expands on GreedFall’s acclaimed story.

[…] Arrive on a new world and forge its destiny, as you befriend or betray companions and entire factions. Engage in a free-form core RPG experience, completing quests and objectives as you become part of a living, evolving world. “The De Vespe Conspiracy” expands on GreedFall’s cherished world and story, inviting you to set foot on a previously undiscovered region of Teer Fradee and tackle a brand new intrigue. Navigate a web of lies, manipulation and secrets, as you unravel a nefarious conspiracy that threatens the balance of power. Explore an uncharted region of the island, battle strange new beasts, upgrade your equipment with new gear and face off against a villainous new enemy faction in your hunt to uncover the truth,” Focus Home Interactive wrote.

GreedFall: Gold Edition (which will net you three lithographies, a sticker sheet, and a two-sided map if you buy it physically; price: 40 USD/EUR), as well as The De Vespe Conspiracy DLC, will launch on June 30. The DLC will also be on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. (This is something Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade should have done!)
