PlayStation prevents McDonalds Australia from giving away PS5 DualSense Controllers Decorated with Hamburgers and Fries

It was for a special event of the 50th anniversary of the chain in that country, but they have had to change the plans.

Burgers can be faithful companions on nights of vice playing the console, always careful not to touch the controller with greasy hands, of course. Perhaps that is why the well-known chain McDonald’s had started a streaming campaign in Australia to commemorate its 50th anniversary in these lands. In addition, the broadcast had a prize, and fans could get a DualSense controller for PS5 decorated with motifs from the fast-food restaurant chain.

The controller in question has generated controversy over its appearance for several hours, which the fans did not like very much. Internet forums have been filled with criticism for its design. And, as it seemed foreseeable and they have from Press Start, on PlayStation, they have mediated and will not allow them to enter circulation for the raffle, so the organization has announced that the event is postponed indefinitely.

“Sony PlayStation has not authorized the use of its controller in promotional materials related to the proposed Stream Week event, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. The week of the event changes, and Sony PlayStation controllers will not be included in the draw,” they say from McDonald’s in an official statement.

The controller of discord, decorated with drawings of potatoes and hamburgers, will not reach homes in the form of DualSense after the final cancellation of the 50 that were to be raffled at the event.
