Twisted Metal creator David Jaffe would be “very hurt” if PlayStation left him out of the sequel

David Jaffe, the creator of God of War, also spoke about the exciting rumours surrounding the premiere of the game and TV series! We only have one question for you, “Metal, can you do it?”

In February last year, PlayStation‘s expansion plans to bring its most popular franchises into the world of film or television included confirmation of a Twisted Metal series, with the writers of the Deadpool films and the producer of Cobra Kai. Since then, rumours of a revival of the series have started to take advantage of its potential appeal on the small screen. It’s about time since the last episode was made in 2012…

That’s what David Jaffe, creator of the Twisted Metal saga and God of War, has been talking about, amid growing rumours that PlayStation is making another game of the driving and deadly adventure game to capitalise on the already-strengthened series. Jaffe, who has been very active on YouTube in recent months, said on his channel – VGC – that it would “really, really hurt” him if Sony didn’t contact him about the project.

David Jaffe, the creator of God of War, also spoke about the exciting rumours surrounding the premiere of the game and TV series!

“I don’t think I’m Sony‘s favourite person right now because of the stream and everything, but it would hurt if PlayStation didn’t ask for my opinion, or at least let me know they were doing this,” Jaffe says. He’s honest, too, saying, “They were the ones who approached me and connected me with the guys who are doing the TV series.

For now, pending confirmation of rumours about whether Twisted Metal will return to video games, it’s safe to say that we could soon see the brand on TV in an action-comedy centred on an outsider who is offered a better life by delivering a mysterious package to a post-apocalyptic wasteland filled with danger.

Finally, as a bonus, there’s a pretty cool mock movie:
