Fortnite Season 8 Begins – and Carnage Enters the Fight

Season 7 of Fortnite has just ended, and the current Alien themed storyline has been wrapped up with a gigantic explosion.

Season 8 of Fortnite started today, and once again, changes have occurred on the Island, and a new storyline is about to be started. This storyline will now include a new special skin, once again from the Marvel IP. The cubes that powered the alien mothership are spread across the Island, and open dimension rifts to a dimension filled with monsters. These monsters are trying to destroy the Island and Earth itself, and it is up to the players to try and stop them.

One of those monsters included in the battle pass as an unlockable skin is Carnage.

However, the player will need to work for this skin, as several quests will need to be completed and enough XP from kills to reach the unique skin on the season pass.

This is not the first time there is a crossover between Fornite and Marvel, as previously we had Wolverine, Groot, Thor, Iron Man, and Venom. Carnage is a bit of a movie tie-in as Venom: Let There Be Carnage should be out in the next couple of weeks.

Unless that rumour of delaying it to January 2022 turns out to be true.

Even if it does become true at least players can still play as their favourite murderous symbiote in a videogame. That is until Spider-Man 2 comes out in 2023.
