Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Star Wars Spin Off: The Jedi Versus Darth Vader, Details of Their Duel Revealed

MOVIE NEWS – According to Making Star Wars, the first details of Obi-Wan Kenobi’s duel with Darth Vader have been revealed.

The Obi-Wan Kenobi spin-off series will film the Jedi facing off against his former padawan, Darth Vader. During Investor Day 2020, the announcement was made with Disney confirming that Hayden Christensen will be returning to the Sith Lord costume. Besides that, the plot of the series is still very secret. Speculation has it that Darth Vader is looking for his former master to carry out Darth Sidious’ Order 66, leading to their famous duel. Nevertheless, new details revealed by Making Star Wars may have given more context to the long-awaited confrontation.

Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor) is expected to face Darth Vader on rocky terrain, similar to Jedha. The Jedi master will attack first and use the Force to send his opponent into a brick wall. Darth Vader will then get up and engage in a lightsaber duel with his enemy. As for the costume, Darth Vader will be wearing the famous black gear he is known for, while Obi-Wan should only be wearing an old, worn-out Jedi tunic, similar to the one we saw at the end of Revenge of the Sith. These first details seem very tempting, especially since the shooting of this scene would have taken more than two weeks. There is no doubt then that this fight should be as intense as the one offered in the third chapter of the Star Wars prequel, 16 years ago. We can’t wait to discover Round 2! In the meantime, check out the latest news about the spin-off series, expected in 2022 on Disney+.

Until that, you can check out the first duel here:
