Will Chloé Zhao direct Kevin Feige’s new Star Wars movie?

MOVIE NEWS- After Eternals, a rumour says that Chloé Zhao could be responsible for the next Star Wars film

President of Marvel Studios has reportedly already chosen Eternals director Chloé Zhao as the filmmaker for his mystery Star Wars movie.  Zhao is in final talks to direct the film, though it should be mentioned that the deal may well have already been finalised. In the absence of official confirmation, it seems prudent to take this information with some caution.

In September 2019, it was revealed that the Marvel boss will produce and develop a Star Wars film alongside Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy. The collaboration between the galactic studio and the head of Marvel is an exceptional agreement, which shows Disney’s confidence in the creative. Since then, however, details have been mostly scant. In addition to the possibility of Zhao directing this project, it is known that the writer of the Loki series, Michael Waldron, will also be one of the architects of this story.

Kennedy and Feige’s Star Wars movie is just the tip of the iceberg that Lucasfilm is building around the intergalactic saga, with multiple Disney series currently in development. The first of these will be ‘The Book of Boba Fett’, which will arrive on Disney+ on 21 December. Also coming to the platform in 2022 will be the series Andor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, as well as the third season of  The Mandalorian, in addition to several other projects that do not yet have a premiere date, such as Ahsoka,  Rogue Squadron or The Acolyte, among others. However, the film does not yet have a release date yet…
