This War of Mine Raised Nearly $700,000 For Ukraine So Far!

The move by 11 bit studios was more than impressive, and the studio is continuing its charity campaign based on This War of Mine.

Last week, Russia launched its attack on Ukraine, and 11 bit studios was one of the first to respond to this aggression: it reduced the price of its popular game This War of Mine with the intention of sending the profits from the game’s sales to the Ukrainian Red Cross Foundation. Today, the studio claimed to have raised nearly $700 000 in the last seven days.

“We still need you, please keep it up!” – 11 bit studios

“You’re doing a great thing,” the studio mentioned on social media, asking the community to continue supporting Ukraine, as although 11 bit studios had initially planned to help with the This War of Mine rebate for only one week, the company shared that the offer will still be available and sales will continue to benefit the country in need.

“Your collected support for Ukraine warms our hearts,” the studio continued. “But we still need you, please keep up the good work.” 11 bit studios concluded its message by asking people to continue to purchase This War of Mine on all platforms where the game is available, without mentioning how long the title’s current discount will last.

It’s worth noting that although other studios have not asked us to buy their game so that they can send donations to Ukraine, 11 bit studios is not the biggest company in the world, but they have managed to raise a substantial amount of money that easily outstrips other, much wealthier studios.

Various companies have decided to send different messages of solidarity to Ukraine, such as CD Projekt Red, which will no longer sell its games in Russia, and EA Sports, which will remove the official Russian team from current FIFA games indefinitely.
