Jane Foster, “The Mighty Thor”, will be the next heroine of Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics’ Marvel’s Avengers title.

Although it didn’t start as well as hoped, the people behind Marvel’s Avengers continue to add new content to the game regularly. Square Enix is convinced that they need to continue to support the game’s users, even if the patch delays haven’t worked for the community.

Moving into the second half of April, Crystal Dynamics has revealed what the 2.4 update, scheduled for May will bring via the game’s official blog. At the same time, however, it also took the opportunity to announce that patch 2.5 would include a new playable character, Jane Foster: The Mighty Thor, the incarnation of Thor known as the Goddess of Thunder.

The heroine has been in the news in recent days due to the trailer for Marvel Studios’ new Thor movie, and will be available on all platforms PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Stadia. No date is known yet, but if patch 2.4 arrives in May, we’ll probably have to wait until summer to try out the character.

What we do know is that the 2.4 update will include several changes to rewards. For example, there’s talk of improving and diversifying event rewards in general, but also more rewards in mission events to offer more opportunities to earn clothes and cosmetics.
