And what Konami has done in the wake of the leak has confirmed that it can be considered credible. A round of applause for Konami!
Dusk Golem has published a few images on Twitter, saying: “Silent Hill leak. There’s a lot I’m not sharing for now. They are from a relatively new source, but I have been given more than enough proof to believe them. I also will mention the names “Anita & Maya” and “SMS Messages.” It is not the only Silent Hill game in development. The shots are dated from 2020, so maybe this project looks a bit different now. But what I’m choosing to share. I know many will doubt this, but I have a lot of private proof to show this is real, and as always, I continue to wait on the Silent Hill game reveal.”
However, we would like to point out that the images were embedded from the ResetEra forum for a reason: they are not available for viewing in the tweet because Konami has removed them from Twitter after a DMCA claim. If it were all fake, the Japanese publisher wouldn’t have pulled the copyright card, so the pictures are REAL! It’s a big blunder: Konami, who have been focusing on many things but not console/PC gaming lately, should have kept their mouth shut.
Dusk Golem has also pointed out on the forum, “this [game] is developed by more than one studio, it’s a joint production. What I will say is that Masahiro Ito [Silent Hill 2’s and 3’s art director] is 100% working on this, I have some art from him from this project to prove it, but I’ll share that later as most of the art shows maybe a bit too much.”
What did Konami announce last June? A strategic partnership with Bloober Team. The Polish team is rumoured to be working on Silent Hill. Hmmm… what a coincidence.
