Sniper Elite 5 Is Unexpectedly Gone From the Epic Games Store! The Development Team Has Responded!

Sniper Elite 5 is currently unavailable on the Epic Games Store but is still available for purchase on Steam. The reasons are not yet clear, but the developer has responded.

Sniper Elite 5 developer Rebellion has released a statement about the game’s sudden and mysterious removal from the Epic Games Store on PC. It was initially supposed to be released on the platform with the other announced games.

In a statement to VCG, Rebellion said: “Due to circumstances beyond our control, Sniper Elite 5 was not available on the Epic Store at launch, but will be released on this platform in the future. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

Sniper Elite 5 was previously available for pre-order on the Epic Games Store, but was pulled from the store prior to the game’s release and money was refunded to pre-orderers. On Rebellion’s official website, the studio has provided a direct link to Epic’s contact page in case some players did not receive a refund.

Now the listing for Sniper Elite 5 on the Epic Games Store simply says “coming soon”. The game was released on May 26 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and is also included in Xbox Game Pass. Rebellion’s website also states that there are currently no concrete plans for Nintendo Switch.

Sniper Elite 5 was well-reviewed on Metacritic and we liked it too, you can read our detailed review of the game here.
