Skydance Interactive and Skybound Entertainment will release The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution for PlayStation VR and PlayStation VR2, the companies announced.

PlayStation VR and the previously announced PC VR and Meta Quest 2 versions will be released in 2022. A release date for PlayStation VR2 has not yet been confirmed.

Here’s an overview of the game, courtesy of Skydance Interactive:

“The development team at Skydance Interactive, part of Skydance Media, is thrilled to join PlayStation at the forefront of the next generation of virtual reality, delivering genre-defining immersion through enhanced visuals and support for haptic sensing.

Praised for its intuitive physics-based combat, original story and immersive survival combat system, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners was the most downloaded PlayStation VR game when it launched in May 2020. Chapter 2: Retribution is a continuation of the original title’s storyline and will see players on PlayStation VR once again take on the role of the Tourist as they experience the horror journey in first-person, single-player, virtual reality.

With a thrilling new adventure set in the universe of The Walking Dead, an expansive world to explore, enhanced visuals and visceral combat with haptic sensing, returning players and newcomers on PlayStation VR 2 will genuinely feel the weight of their decisions as they face visceral choices to survive and new challenges and threats that come their way.
