The standard Xbox Series X looks pretty stylish, has a handle and is the spitting image of Thor’s hammer. Microsoft is running a competition to promote the new Marvel movie Thor: Love and Thunder, offering you the chance to win this beautiful Mjölnir-inspired limited edition hardware.

What is the perfect combo from a marketing point of view? The meeting of a hot console and a blockbuster Marvel movie! Microsoft has created a limited-edition Xbox Series X in the style of Mjölnir for the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder premiere, which will be shot by (former) love interest Natalie Portman’s “Thorised” Jane Foster instead of the Stormtrooper-turned-Galaxy Guardians-crew Thor. Of course, there’s the question of how lucky the grip is in terms of placement, but style trumps utility and rationality this time! You can see a picture of the Mjölnir Xbox below.

There was a similar promotion around the premiere of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Only then you could win an Xbox Series S and controllers. And this time, it’s no different, with a Mjölnir-themed console (and, of course, the accompanying Mjölnir-themed game controller) up for grabs if you enter the draw are selected. You must follow Xbox on Twitter and then share the promotional post with the hashtag #ThorLoveandThunderXboxSweepstakes. The deadline is 21 July, the age to enter is 18, and of course, you must live in a region where Xbox products are available, accessible and supported.

Thor: Love and Thunder will be released in cinemas next Thursday, 7 July. The first critical reviews of the film are very positive.
