PS Plus Extra & Premium: Here Are The July Releases, With A Few Surprises!

PlayStation’s subscription service, PS Plus, has unveiled its first list of new additions since its June debut, and we have to say, it’s managed to amaze even us.

The revamped PlayStation Plus has been available in Europe since 23 June, with the top two tiers, PS Plus Extra and Premium, giving you access to a massive catalogue of PS5 and PS4 games, as well as classics from the company’s previous consoles through the Premium plan. Just hours ago, the first list of new features and games was unveiled, with several exceptional guests among them.

The company’s press release clarifies that these new additions will debut on the service from 19 July.

It’s unknown whether there will be a fixed day for the release of new titles on the service or whether this will change as Xbox Game Pass does. But until those doubts are cleared up, it’s going to be an exciting month for users, who will be able to enjoy up to five Assassin’s Creed and two Saints Row titles, although the highlight might be the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.

Square Enix’s game will arrive in a PS5-exclusive edition, allowing users to experience the first part of the trilogy, which revisits one of the most beloved instalments in the JPRG series. If you’re not a big fan of the franchise, you’ll be pleased to know that Marvel’s Avengers is also coming to PS5 and PS4 this month. The action game hasn’t had much luck so far, but the fact that you can play as Captain America, Iron Man and Thor, and for free to boot, sounds like a good plan.

Stray is the first PS Plus Extra & Premium launch video game.

And let’s not forget Stray, the first video game to launch on PS Plus Extra and Premium, where players can roam as a stray cat in an action-adventure game set in a decadent cyberpunk city promises to be a lot of fun.

The other highlight of the month is Assassin’s Creed. Ubisoft is celebrating 15 years of the saga, and PS Plus is joining in the celebrations, with subscribers able to travel to revolutionary France with Unity, the Caribbean in the golden age of piracy with Black Flag, or enjoy The Ezio Collection, among others. Without further ado, here is the complete list of the month’s new titles.
