Emma Watson Embroiled in Controversy Over The Flash Star Ezra Miller

MOVIE NEWS – People are waiting for Emma Watson to clarify the sensitive situation regarding her former co-star, The Flash star Ezra Miller.

In light of the recent controversy surrounding The Flash star Ezra Miller, people expect some clarity from her former co-star Emma Watson.

Watson has been keeping a low profile lately, but he’s still being mentioned in the ongoing debate about Miller’s current situation. Miller, who will star in Warner Bros.’s upcoming The Flash movie, has made headlines for his violent streak and unpredictable behaviour. Earlier this year, he was arrested twice in Hawaii for disorderly conduct and charged with other serious crimes, including multiple physical assaults and the alleged molestation of a teenager. Despite calls for comment, Watson remained silent on Miller, prompting criticism from supporters of Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling.

They claim Watson has always been vocal in her opposition to Rowling’s stance on trans issues yet refrains from speaking out on matters involving Miller. In their view, it would be fair for Watson to be as outspoken about Miller’s misdeeds as her colleague, J.K. Rowling. However, Watson’s fans have come to her defence, saying she should not be held accountable for words and actions that are not her own. They believe that regardless of your relationship with Rowling or Miller, you shouldn’t feel like you have to speak for them.

Miller and Watson previously worked together on Stephen Chbosky’s teen drama Perks of Being a Wallflower. They once said in an interview that Watson became one of their “closest friends” and that they built their relationship with the film from the beginning. According to Miller, they kept their adjoining hotel room open so they could live together and have a natural “sibling” relationship. It is currently unknown if the two are still in touch or if Miller’s bad press has caused Watson to distance himself from them.

One of Miller’s most recent interactions with Watson was in 2016 when they were cast as troubled wizard Credence in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. According to Miller, Watson was very happy for them, knowing how much the Harry Potter books meant to him as a youngster. He also told them to “fasten their seat belts” and get ready for a “fun ride,” knowing full well that the franchise could make as much of a difference to them as it did to him.

Warner Bros. has yet to take any definitive action, but the studio admits it has an “Ezra Miller problem.” According to sources close to Deadline, the studio is ready to leave Miller out of the role of the Flash in future DC films even if no more allegations against them surface.
