Could Marvel’s Midnight Suns Be Delayed Even Longer?! Developers Spoke

Firaxis Games and 2K need more time to deliver an experience in Marvel’s Midnight Suns that meets fans’ expectations.

Lately, everything seemed to be going well in the house of Firaxis Games’ tactical action RPG Marvel’s Midnight Suns. New trailers for the main characters have been released from time to time, but today it has been confirmed that the game will not be ready for its release date, leaving it without a precise release date. However, it is still on 2K Games’ list of productions for this fiscal year.

“We have decided to postpone the release of Marvel’s Midnight Suns in order to ensure that Firaxis Games and 2K deliver the best possible experience for fans,” the brief statement reads.

“The title will launch later this fiscal year on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5. Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions will be released at a later date,” the statement continues.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns made its official debut a year ago, though its existence was rumoured long before that. The intention at the time from the people behind the game was to release it in March, but it was announced shortly afterwards that it would not be released until the second half of the year, with the release date – October 7 on PC and consoles – being finalised at the “non-E3” date of 2022.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns was last scheduled for release on October 7.

Developed by the creators of XCOM, Midnight Suns seeks to bring the darker side of the Marvel universe to life as Hunter, a legendary demon hunter with a mysterious past leads an unlikely team of seasoned superheroes and dangerous supernatural fighters. The enemy? The demonic Lilith and her fearsome horde, joined by the evil Hydra army. “Can Doctor Strange, Iron Man and Blade put aside their differences in the face of a growing global threat?”

As mentioned above, several of the video game’s characters were introduced recently, including Captain Marvel and Spider-Man. Now we’ll have to wait even longer for them to team up so we can finally enjoy this superhero adventure.
