MOVIE NEWS – Coming to Netflix in October, Guillermo del Toro’s horror anthology series Cabinet of Curiosities is coming, and a trailer gives us a glimpse of what to expect.
Netflix has unveiled the first look at Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming horror anthology series Cabinet of Curiosities. Arriving on Netflix on October 25, the series will feature eight separate horror stories, including two originals from Oscar-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro. Watch the first teaser trailer below to get an early taste of the new series.
Created by Guillermo del Toro and co-showrunner by Oscar-winner J. Miles Dale (Touch of Water, Sex/Life), the series will feature del Toro’s new stories alongside other creepy tales told by a team of writers and directors hand-picked by the famed filmmaker himself. He is also executive producing alongside Dale and Gary Ungar. Regina Corrado is a co-executive producer.
Del Toro is also the host of the anthology series. In a statement, del Toro said:
“Our aim with Cabinet of Curiosities is to present the realities that exist outside our normal world: the anomalies and the weirdness. We have personally selected and curated a group of stories and storytellers to choose these stories, whether they are from outer space, supernatural sagas, or simply in our minds. Just in time for Halloween, each of the eight tales will offer a fantastic insight into the ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’ that exists beneath the reality we live in.”
Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities tells eight terrifying stories and will premiere on Netflix on Tuesday, October 25. It launches as a four-day, double-episode event series with two episodes a day until Friday, October 28, when all eight stories will be available to stream.
