The Peripheral Trailer: Chloe Grace Moretz in ihe New Sci-Fi Series From the Creators Of Westworld [VIDEO]

MOVIE NEWS – Chloe Grace Moretz stars in Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy’s new series The Peripheral for Prime Video and Based on the novel by William Gibson, the father of Cyberpunk.

 

The official trailer has been released for The Peripheral, a new sci-fi series starring Chloe Grace Moretz coming to Prime Video in October. From Westworld creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the series is based on the original novel by William Gibson. The series is created by Scott B. Smith (Simple Plan) and executive produced by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. Smith is also showrunner and executive producer, directed by Vincenzo Natali (In the Tall Grass), Greg Plageman (Person of Interest), Athenwa Wickham (Westworld) and Steven Hoban (In the Tall Grass). The Peripheral is produced by Amazon Studios and Warner Bros. Television in association with Kilter Films.

While promoting The Peripheral at New York Comic-Con, Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy revealed that they haven’t forgotten Westworld five. It has been confirmed that HBO is in talks to produce a fifth and final season of the series. Meanwhile, a TV series based on Fallout is also being developed, which is also being produced at Prime Video. Whether there is a sequel or not, Westworld will have a sequel, fans have something to look forward to from the content that Nolan and Joy have brought us so far.

The official description of The Peripheral reads:

Flynne Fisher (Chloe Grace Moretz), her Marine veteran brother Burton (Jack Reynor) and their dying mother live in a small town in the Blue Ridge Mountains in 2032. As their mother’s health deteriorates and the medical bills keep piling up, Flynne and Burton make extra money playing simulation games (“Sims”). The two brothers share Burton’s avatar and “jockey” for high-paying customers to beat challenging game levels. When Burton is offered to beta test a new Sims, it’s Flynne who ends up playing, giving in to her brother. The sim is set in London and tasks Flynne with breaking into a company called the Research Institute – to steal a valuable secret.

When the job goes wrong, Flynne begins to realize that the Sim is more real than she ever thought. The London he discovers exists in the future… 2099. And what Flynne discovers at the Research Institute puts her and her family in grave danger. There are people from the future who want to use Flynne for the stolen information… and there are others who want to see Flynne dead. In future London, Flynne meets Wilf (Gary Carr), a man who may be the key to solving the mystery. But first, in the present, Flynne and Burton and their former elite military unit must band together to save themselves from the forces bent on killing them – forces sent from the future to retrieve the vital secret Flynne stole.</em >

Periphery will premiere on October 21, 2022 on Prime Video. After that, new episodes will be released every Friday until December 9, 2022.
